They are by Timberland Boot Co. and are priced ridiculously at $485... Timberland is offering 40% off any purchase until 9/19. I really like them but even at the discounted price still can't pull the trigger.

Looking for a pair of boots in size 13 WIDE other than the LL Bean Katahdin's. Open to pretty much any option <$300.

If you have a 40% code that works for those boots, I might be interested. Can you PM? None of the versions of FRIEND or BFF work. Either they've been cancelled or just don't apply to those boots. thx

perhaps some of the guys have better suggestions but check out trickers (you could get espresso or black boots in a country style). crockett and jones also make good boots..-both makers have a dainite sole
not sure how either of these would hold up in a chicago winter, though..sounds like they would be subject to a lot of wet and salt.

for the above brands check out pediwear, shoehealer, tresbienshop, belfast bureau, present london, etc

I am looking for some boots for snowy winter under 150$, suitable for casual outfit (jeans/chinos + shirt), not too chunky and not too 'dress', in brown or oxblood colour. Would be very nice if shape is similar to Thorocraft Xanders (http://thorocraftshop.com/product/TC0005-Xanders.html). In the spoiler are my types, of course I am open to your suggestions.

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to know what your opinions are on Clarks Maguire.

Seen here for pics: http://www.clarksusa.com/eng/product/maguire/33833

Seen here for a video:

I live in Toronto and walk from the train station Monday to Friday, about 10 minutes. Toronto winter's aren't harsh as some other places.

Does anyone know a pair of these? Are they comfortable enough for everyday wear in winter? Will they hold up in winter? I would get the Red wings but I wanted something more low profile.

i used to work at a Clark's and most of the shoes there will not hold up in the winter, unless theyre specifically designed and marketed to. IE their goretex and muck styled boots/shoes.

those will definitely not hold up.
