I just returned the Epaulet Tan Suede belt last week because the color wasn't very close to my Tan LHS. The Epaulet Snuff belt on the other hand was a much better match in color to the Snuff LHS and I ended up keeping that one. Alden DC has some Tan Suede belts for sale at a discount but most sizes have the brass buckle I believe, I ended up buying it anyways.

Thanks! The indoor color is as great as the outdoor color IMO. For a moment they even look like Color 4 (one can dream). I'm thrilled with these! So glad I wore them.

Thanks dude! I just had to put miles on them before you and Ben confiscated them!

Thanks guys! I'm getting happier with them as the bloom comes out today. Ravello is easily my favorite color boot. This is also my first leather soled boot. I have been wearing exclusively commando sole, but it's still pretty comfortable. These may get worn alot more than I had originally planned. I'm now much more excited for my Leffot Naval boots with leather sole in Sept/Oct.

looks like www.sublimegoods.com got rid of their Alden page with the ridiculously marked up exotic shells....

    I wonder what happened.

My first Whiskey Wednesday! Picked up this fine pair of short wings on my inaugural trip to Alden DC last week. Joe was great to work with, and I got to meet @zennypoo . All in all, it was a good day.

My Whiskey Wednesday contribution. A Whiskey Chukka Boot. These boots were made in 2001 and sat in somebody's closet. I bought them from them over the summer... Maiden voyage today, some 14 years later...

Looking great Don, those look a lot like my pair from BB 2009. Nice mature color.

@mdubs similar fate as my old Chukkas which sat around for many years, then sat in my closet before I got rid of them. Great boot, just not my style.

I was disappointed to have missed out on the Natural CXL Brixton boot from Epaulet. I was happy to see a similar makeup at TSM.

I would have preferred the antique welt that Epaulet offered, and this particular pair have the more pale color of CXL instead of the richer color of the one's I'm replacing (see signature).

If I keep them, I will probably try to darken the welt some how. I'm still on the fence. I try not to keep Aldens unless I love them out of the box, and on these I'm not sure...

Nice! Are those PTBs natural cxl? If I could get my WT boots that shade/sheen I'd be happy.

Yep, natty CXL. My wife tells me they are the best color of all the shoes I own and they are aging so gracefully. If your natty CXL NST could have only been a 7.5D haha, love that make up.

Here is another pic of the PTB, shows the rich color a bit better. Right shoe has some heavy creasing and the left shoe has some cordovan type roll action going on, I love the way CXL ages.
