Hey guys,

Just tried posting, but said I was new member and my post needed moderating. I am however not a new member so I'm giving it another shot, so apologies if two almost identical replies pop up!

I'm looking at buying the Indy Kudu, but unfortunately there are no UK stockists near my location. Was wondering if anyone could advise me as to sizing. I have just fallen in love with boots this last week after I purchased the Oak Street Navy Camp, which I wear in a 7UK. This seems like a good fit so far and I'm happy with it. I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on how the Oak Street and Alden size up against each other?

Many thanks!

Out of curiosity, are you referring to the Alden 404 with lug sole? Have you seen the other Kudu Indy makeups?

Being an Indy it's most likely on the trubalance last but I would verify this first. Most of us size down a half from out standard US size however Alden sizing isn't always an exact science. If it helps I wear the same in the Barrie last and cj 348 last. The only difference is the width us d usually equals uk e.

LS Jumper in brown CXL. Another fine conference call Friday. I keep busy by shining shoes or taking pictures of shoes. If my colleagues could see me now...

The sun really came out of the clouds for the following image:

And for reference, Trubalance CXL vs. Barrie Color 8.

Cigar Alden Indy Boots from Alden Madison Avenue (9.5E, eyelets+speedhooks, double leather sole). My first Indy in an E width (I have 10D in my other Indy boots), these are super comfy

1000

A year ago my cigar captoe boots from Alden DC were close to my favorite Aldens. Now, I wear them less than three other cigar models (cigar chukkas, cigar longwings and now this Indy looks like it will surpass my captoes)...

I own the Oak Street camp boot and the Indy boot and wear the same size in both. I could probably have gone down a half size in the Indy but I just wear a bit of a thicker sock and lace tight. I think either .5 down or same size would work for you

Those look fantastic! I can see why you like them so much.

I really want something in cigar. Since I already have cap toe boots in color 8 and brown cxl (above), I keep thinking that the cigar chukka would work best and may see more use. It's easier for me to wear a chukka boot year round than a taller boot. OTOH, a PTB in cigar could just about serve as a "

One-Shoe ".

Went with half a size down as 7UK was not available. Here's hoping! Ta for the advice.

I'm a big fan of the cigar chukka (as are plenty of others on the thread)... Very versatile - I'd recommend it
