OK... great showing everyone. Thanks to all who participated. Hope it was fun. This was a beast of a poll, so to keep things manageable I selected just one photo (or some cases 2) from each person and spoilered the others. So make sure you click "more details" if you want to see, um, more details. I hope I didn't forget anyone.

The challenge was to feature:

DENIM

Vote now for your favorite fit
Poll closes Wed night 27 May

Remember, there are prizes for the top two fits:
Winner (most votes): $100 gift card to Wolf vs Goat +
$50 gift card to Uniqlo
Runner-up (second most votes): item from Parker's stash.
There will also be a special mystery prize for Judge's Choice (I am the judge).

The Captain regains his bearings from the sun. Landmarks do him no good without his maps.

"Where the hell am I?", he mutters. The mountains are only increasing in size, suggesting that his travels take him farther and farther from the coast.

The Captain regains his bearings from the sun. Landmarks do him no good without his maps.

How he wished he was standing at the prow of his ship, feeling the spray of the ocean on his face!

The heat of the mountains was too much for the Captain, whose blood yearned for cooler climes.

His mind wandered back to his first voyage across the Arctic Circle, as the ship’s boatswain, when he earned his liberty cuffs. Twelve years it took him to rise to Captain. His heart sank in remembrance of how he had lost it all…

Across the meadows he traveled in search of something…anything. It had been a day and a half since the Captain had last eaten.

At first he thought his exhausted mind had imagined her there before him, gathering wild herbs and flowers. But then the young girl replied to his lost ramblings. “Come with me,” she said, “and meet my father. He is an explorer of these mountains, and he will show you the way.”

Here's my entry, just a quicky.

Amazing challenge @Parker , stellar entries by @thatoneguy , @diniro , and many others. @Synthese and @zissou with strong entries in the historical narrative category, zissou from the 1800s and Synth apparently from a colony world in 21XX. I just so happened to fulfill the criteria for this challenge yesterday, so here's my fit:

Rogue Territory
Wolf vs Goat
The Flat Head
Rancourt

Better late than never right? Maybe @Parker will let this late entry pass? I mean it was taken on Saturday...

Thanks to @thewho13 for the picture! Forgive the awkward candid pose.

:) I imagine this sung to the tune of "Log" by Ren & Stimpy:

"What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs
Rolls over your neighbor's pug?
What's great for a drink and fits in your sink?
It's Mug, Mug, Mug!

It's Mug, Mug, it's small, it's heavy, it's clay.
It's Mug, Mug, it's better than bad, it's meh...
Everyone wants a Mug! You're gonna love it, Mug!
Come on and get your Mug! Everyone needs a Mug!"

Usually I vote for a ton of people, but I decided to keep it to just two this time (zissou and rais, on completely opposite ends of the denim spectrium). Which is dumb, because every entry was stellar. Great job, everyone - so cool to see them all in one place. HOF all around.

Aw, you guys! Yeah, it was a fun one. Lots of great entries, for sure. I, however, bungled my vote, not realizing that it was multiple choice :embar: The only person, though I would have gladly voted for at least a few more, who got my vote was Baron for his epic Dad Style. Looked straight outta 1940's LIFE magazine.

And, whenever you guys want to do it, I'm ready for the Naval-inspired WAYWT Challenge.

Loved this challenge, if only because I found myself wearing a ton of denim all the sudden for the past few weeks. I have a couple vintage denim jackets that I've had forever and barely worn, but I worked them into my rotation the past few weeks, experimenting with different combos, and now I can see myself wearing them all the time. Also liked seeing the interesting denim repairs on some of these fits - Parker's work in particular I'm probably going to copy on a few disintegrating pairs of old APCs and vintage Levi's.

I think TOG and ghostface had better outfits, but Synth's pics put him over the top. Congrats to all winners. Parker also set a new bar for challenge starter. damn!
