I think the fuzzy and highly subjective definition of what counts as "Ivy" is what makes this challenge particularly interesting. Nicely done @EFV (and your introduction was perfect). I'm surprised at how few entries we have gotten so far!

Shoulders you could balance an empire on, View attachment 922025

Charles also tried to undo what Edward VII's fat belly had forced him, and all of us herding animals to do: Not use the bottom button.

Crazy Ivy ?

I love the irony. This guy is probably the most famous living/contemporary American writer in the world, he didn't even finished High school, lived in the street for a while and did some time. Not really the classic Ivy circles eh ?
Met him several times BTW

Doesn't look like Tony Morrison or Philip Roth to me.

He is not a reenactor for sure.

Did someone mention reenactors?

Picture taken a few weeks ago (and not an official entry in this challenge) at Campo de Cahuenga at the annual celebration of Mexico signing the Articles Of Capitulation at Campo de Cahuenga on January 13, 1847.

I'm wearing red, white, and blue socks (that don't show) as well as a red, white, and blue pocket square and necktie (that do show).

Highlight of the day was the gunners firing a three gun salute (they only had three guns) aimed at Harvey Weinstein's former office across the street as our flag was raised by some Boy Scouts (and no one took a knee as our flag was raised and our National Anthem was sung loudly by us all).

I said famous not best - which is a matter of taste and personal preference BTW. In France, and i think all over Europe, he is more famous and popular than the two writers you quoted.

Fame would also seem to be a rather subjective opinion as well. After all only one of the authors named has won the Nobel Prize, and if you wish to go only by how well known someone is, I severely doubt that Ellroy is more famous at this point that George RR Martin, whose Game of Thrones is now an international phenomenon.

True - but here Ellroy is famous for much longer than Martin! Now let's go back on topic and post an outfit mate!
