What’s the current thinking about the benefits of re-lasting a custom pair on a last that has had incremental changes made?

Do they modify the original shoe trees at all, and if not, doesn’t that become problematic in maintaining the new last shape?

I ordered my first shoes (cap toe oxford Adelaides in crust) just prior to covid, and they spent most of the pandemic boxed up ultimately in storage during a prolonged international move. I was only recently re-united with them and have been generally happy, but feel there could be some tweaks to the last to incrementally improve fit around the toes. There is some creasing in the cap toe itself, but I’m assuming this is due to the crust leather than any major fit issue.

The break-in hasn’t resulted in blisters or anything, and the comfort has improved over time, so debating between keeping these as is and ordering some suede chukkas or first having these re lasted.

Any input/thought/experiences would be appreciated.

haha, that was my first thought, but the dye looks so consistent, esp at the toe cap seams … curious shoe nerds want to know! 🤣

Love ‘em regardless, it’s prompting me to put on my CRU 607’s this morning

my guess its CRU 608 aka Milk Chocolate
