Hi folks,

I'm looking for a bit of advice and insight on some denim of mine -- but bear with me as I'm new to this hobby.

I've always been a fan of Lucky Brand Jeans. I've been wearing them for years and have loved the durability, fit, and look. I've just never had a need to venture out. I recently was attracted by the "raw/selvedge" denim space.

I picked up two pairs of Lucky Brand Legend selvedge jeans. Now, I know these are sevledge, but I don't believe they are raw. One pair came a bit distressed with some fading and whiskers, the other is a very dark indigo with no pre-distressing. I was excited about wearing these with minimal washes and make them my own over the years.

Unfortunately, on both pairs, they are a bit baggy on my upper thighs in a small spot, and a bit around the button fly. Everywhere else fits great, the smaller size is too small as well.

I was doing my best to search google and this forum to find my options. I came across "spot shrinking". Spraying a mixture of water and fabric softener where the shrinking needs to occur and then drying the jeans. Is this frowned upon?

My only concern is fading the color of the jeans. I love the current looks of them as is, the dark indigo on the one pair is beautifully rich. Id like to keep those as dark as possible until they start to naturally whisker.

What are your suggestions? I appreciate your time reading my post.

Cheers,
Derek
