This may be stupid, but: who makes good socks? Anyone have any experience with Falke?

Falke is pretty good. I have some cashmere/wool socks that are super soft and I don't really have any complaints.

falke is my favourite. i like the 'running sock' and the invisible sock.
running sock has a left and right foot-specific sock because of the padding. its cotton but doesnt look like a nike athletic sock. i wear it with cropped trousers.

Full body sunburn is summerlite version of red TOJ MDR. The break-in period is a bit rougher though.

So I need a suit pretty soon (I'm a student and haven't really needed one). I'd obviously prefer not to spend much money but would like something I can wear for again in the future. Yoox comes to mind but I wouldn't know specific brands to look for. I don't have access to Uniqlo either. I would ask in MC but I feel like that might be getting a bit more into it than I'd like. Any recommendations?

Somebody said Thick as Thieves, which from what I've read is a nice product. It is MTM, however, so you buy you keep. Honestly, J Crew might be a good route. Plenty of sales and a few different products/fits to choose from. If you don't like it, you can return it to anyone of their many retail outlets.

Any suggestions for winter white jeans/pants with tapered leg?

Just went on this journey myself while at Barneys. A couple of the Rag and Bone models were nice along with LVC (or it might have been Made and Crafted, cannot recall), but the most tapered may have been the Acne.
