present for a woman friend of mine

I'm shoping for a gift for Christmas for a good friend of mine. She's a lawyer and wears women's suits, from what I've seen mostly black/gray. What goes well with that? I'm thinking a nice scarf, maybe silk or half silk half cashmere.

Any ideas?

An Hermes scarf sounds like an excellent idea. The pop of colors will brighten up her tendency to wear darker colors.

A scarf is a great idea. Outside of that, how about a pair of leather gloves in a color that isn't so drab? Assuming of course she lives in a cold climate.

there was a very pretty blue scarf on the brooks website yesterday, much cheaper than Hermes. Doesn't seem to be there anymore though.
