Hip flare is when your jeans have a curvy, hourglass look around the hips (i.e., bulging out at the sides below the waist and above the thigh). Not good on men.

Thanks for your help, Asch. So if I'm not mistaken, hip flare has nothing to do with one's thighs? My main problem with jeans is that the thigh portion tends to stretch out over time (from sitting down, etc) and gives me "thigh flare" if that makes any sense? Is this "thigh flare" the same thing as hip flare or not?
To better illustrate my point, here is a crop from a recent WAYWT. What I'm trying to illustrate here (and figure out how to avoid) is the bagginess in the thighs that results from wear.
