I dunno who can pull those off ironhearts. big tights tiny hem? they're purpose made for bike riding.

On the other hand Samurai's are super super super super stiff.

So I'm going to order one of these: http://www.leathergoodsconnection.com/rangerbelts.html My shoes are black (shoes are here) so the belt needs to be mostly black to go with it. However, I think the all-black looks a little dull. Would putting dark-brown billets on it to add some depth wreck the whole belt-shoe matching rule? Also, how about stitching? I don't like asking people to make choices for me in regards to my style but this isn't something I understand very well.

Uncontrol,
You should seriously reconsider those boots. They look ultra feminine and are all-around unattractive.

Also, although I do think LGC belts are a good buy, those ranger belts are kind of over-the-top unless you're really into the whole country western scene.

Finally, I don't think you should put dark-brown billets on a black belt, especially on one that busy already.

Um, I wasn't really asking for you to try and change my entire style.

EDIT: Editing to make sure you know I wasn't trying to be rude with that or anything. I like the boots -- my style is pretty androgyous so I don't mind the femininity of them, if anything that's what attracted me to them, the heel in particular. It's just that it's clear those items are "me" and I was asking for assistance with them. It would've been like telling GS to stop with the high cuffs and boots.

Anyone have any experience Crate denim Hamilton and how they compare to APC Rescues? I have a size 28 in rescues and wonder what size I should get in these?

How do you properly cuff jeans?

I've been browsing through the WAYWT thread, and I saw some very clean cuffs, and some not so crisp.

Do you fold multiple times, or just once? It's hard to tell with the dark denim, and those are usually the clean cuffs. Or are the cuffs crisp and clean because they're raw/selvedge? The not so crisp ones I saw were clearly not raw/selvedge and light coloured, so I need clarification.

Is Last Magazine still in print? Is it in English or Japanese? Is there someway to get a subscription to it? I'm finding it near impossible to find anything on the magazine. The phrase last magazine is not an easy string to google.

I think most people cuff just a single time, though i like to bend down the seam beneath as well. raw/selvedge, apart from maybe added starch, has no effect on cuffing. This may be frowned upon, but i also iron my cuffs to make sure they stay crisp.

Can anyone tell me about Moma brand shoes? Quality, comfort, sizing, what price they'd be worth buying at, etc.... Thanks

Another side question: How exactly does one wear suede laceups? I mean, i know rules need not apply all the time and i usually don't care about them, but how would one best wear them? Seem like they would be weird texture wise with most jeans and dress pants. Slubbier (more casual, can't think of a better term) khaki/chinos in various colors? Cords? Colors instead of just white/grey/indigo/black? I dunno just kinda curious.

suede shoes go best with khakis/chinos in various colors (beige, army green, what have you) or corduroy pants. Get a pair of brown suede laceups, white cords, a burgundy turtleneck and you're set. Any kind of color clothing will work, just go all out man. Put on the closest pair of pants you have next to you and throw on those suede laceups. If it looks wrong, even better.

Why is ironing cuffs frowned upon? Because jeans shouldn't be ironed anyway?

GD, I dunno if ironing cuffs is forwned upon, but you'll get a permanent crease there (you may get this anyway, if you always cuff your jeans). This may not matter to you. I had one pair of jeans that I always left cuffed tear at the fold.

chronaug, I love suede shoes. I wear suede laceups with jeans, chinos, cords. Desert boots and wallabees seem right in suede. I know there are rules about no suede in the summer, but I don't hesitate to bend that one. With the exception of white bucs, I think it's harder to wear suede with lighter toned clothes, as it's a warm texture.

The top button on a pair of my jeans pulled through the waistband. I assume that this is a relatively easy fix for a tailor, or is there some other process that I don't know about?

Is there anything I should worry about in terms of future structural integrity? The jeans fit very well and won't be stretching much further, so I don't anticipate any major stress in that part of the jean.

Thanks in advance.
