I'm trying to grab a feel of the narrowness for these Carminas. If I have the Lodger Hamilton captoe in 9UK and it is unbearably tight in the toe box, does this shoe best compare to the Simpson?

simpson toe box is normally more narrow than the lodger

+1, he's brilliant in a borderline almost-insane sort of way. I'm awed with the way his mind works - how the heck does he come up with some of his stuff? Not the one liner above, but he throws out others that are mind bogglingly great. Not just funny, but complexly funny. I love that stuff.

Guess I asked an indirect Q. I have conceded Simpson will be too narrow. Usually wear a 9.5US in AE 3 and 5-last. Given the 9UK Lodger is tight in tie box I may opt for 9UK in the Carmina Rain and 9.5UK in Forest.

maybe I read the question too literally. my experience says Forest would likely be better for you.
Rain also . . . . if you have a higher instep, double check the width tho.

Damn, son. Watching the festive culmination of what is possible a seminal and genuinely exciting national election in the world's largest democracy, India, or waiting for Spoo's Carmina sale. Choices, choices.

While I also have your attention, let me direct you to three Carmina shoes that I have up on auction now here

The same consignor also sent these two Crockett & Jones handgrades, one of which is NIB.

Great shoes and if you miss/I don't have anything in your size when the sale launches in a half hour, have a think about those!

With you from across the world.. just mixed up a nice strong Bloody Mary. This is exciting!

Sipping on a neat single malt in the very late evening is the very definition of refinement.

Mixing Bloody Marys at 10.30am on the other hand, smacks of incipient alcoholism.

However, given the stressful nature of the Carmina feeding frenzy shortly to be unleashed, you are on this occasion excused.

Prosit!
