Correction regarding the pleat options. I either misheard Aaron or he misspoke but with reverse, they can do single deep or shallow. With forward, single shallow but not single deep.

@Kent Wang

Delighted with my new, smart-looking swimsuit, but I have a question about wear/washing. My kids' filthy paws got sunblock on my shorts (lotion/not spray) and it didn't wash out bagged in gentle cycle. Do I really need to dry clean a swimsuit? Any tips are appreciated. Thanks so much!

Lol, swim trunks labeled "dry clean only"? That's dumb.

Doh. We put the wrong text on that label. Yes, it's machine washable.

PSA/self-help that I hope Kent et al will be okay with:

Edmorel is clearing out his fabric stock over on B&S. I can't buy at the moment, so you all should. Ed's fabrics plus KW made to measure has been my m.o. for all of the tailoring I've bought in the last two years.

+1 to this. I have purchased several of his fabrics, and all are top notch

Can you provide a link to the listing? I can’t see any listings from him.

Absolutely. Fabrics are listed in two different places:
https://www.styleforum.net/threads/holland-and-sherry-fabrics-clearance.628721/
https://www.styleforum.net/buyandsell/loro-piana-zegna-holland-and-sherry-fabrics-clearance.11009/

If some kind soul would snap up the PoW suitings from Holland and Sherry and Loro Piana so that I don't have to look at them any longer, I'd be grateful.

What kind of stain do you have? Is it this...

(I have no affiliation with this site. It is simply an example.)

If I were you, I would try washing again (perhaps taking into account the advice in the linked article), but in a "regular" cycle. I wash my KW swimsuit in the regular cycle; it can take it.

Typically, how many yards of fabric would one need for a suit?

Depends on your proportions and the fabric (plain fabrics need less than patterns). @aaronatKW has recommended 3.5 meters for plain cloths and 3.65 meters (a touch less than 4 yards) for checks for me, and I am about a 38R/38S, give or take.

PEBCAK + search function fail = public humiliation

Thanks, gentlemen.

Don't anyone tell KW his swim shorts are eliciting much confusion from the suburban contingent whist on vacation: "Thar ain't no drawstring on them!?"
