Do you fellows sometime feel like wearing your new shoes after the purchase would not be a cool idea at all as you would like them to remain in a box fresh condition and just admire them as a piece of art?

I realize shoes are meant to be worn and enjoyed, it's their purpose after all, however I have some pairs I just can't get my self to wear as I simply enjoy re-opening the box and bags and experiencing the thrill all over again. This could be a collector territory I am referring to but there is no way I could get my self wearing a 2009 St. Crepin Lobb for example. I simply enjoy them more by just looking at them than wearing them, thus wanting them to always be in a mint condition. 99% of other shoes I don't care much about and I do enjoy wearing.

Not me. If they don't get worn, they get sold. I view my shoes collectively as a wardrobe or a rotation, not as a collection.

I completely understand. Though I do wear my 2009 JLP St. Crepin's on occasion, there are a couple of pairs I have not been able to bring myself to wear. My Alden #2 LWB and a pair of GC 1786 Russian Leather boots remain unworn....

Nope. I buy to wear although newer shoes tend to be worn only when conditions are good for the day (no rain/mud/snow and not much concrete/outdoor walking).

I also ordered from Nick on Jan 3, gave him exactly two weeks to ship and sent an e mail on the 17th for an update. Radio silence on his part. Never had such a bad experience from any other online seller. 24 hours more and will file for a dispute tomorrow. Very disappointing least to say!
