Oh well. The more things change ...

I venture to guess based on the number of people that post on Jantzen threads and what I assume to be a quite significant number of lurkers, SF can and does cause some of this backlog -- whenever people have said for a while that service is bad, workload goes down enough that people start reporting getting their shirts, which causes another spike, etc. I suppose it can't be helped, but I think the lesson is don't get any shirts so I can get mine quicker. I've asked a friend of mine in HK to pick up shirts for me before flying to the states, and that was definitely the best solution: a 1-day turnaround!

Or when you get the confirmation page at the end of the order page, you can copy/paste that into an email to ourself and use that for follow-up. I imagine either approach is equally effective or ineffective, as the case may be.

I did e-mail him to confirm that my order was received. Twice, actually.

They should really automate the production queu, and automatically ticket customers and give them status info. I'm a production engineer, and these type of inefficiencies always makes me want to interfere.

No word for 6 weeks, so I emailed Ricky on 11/12 and I received a response today, 11/27 saying the shirts go out next week. My total timeline:

First order (1 shirt):
Ordered 8/8,
Received 9/14,
Charged 10/11.

Second order (4 shirts):
Ordered 9/27,
Emailed Ricky 11/12,
Ricky repied 11/27

It's been like that for weeks.

I have submitted maybe 15 orders over the last 1.5 years and haven't had a single one filled.

Knowing that you guys know Jantzen has extremely poor turn around time, how come you guys keep placing the order? Aren't there other online shirt makers who have better customer service with equivalent product quality?

Not that we know of. Many have better turnaround time, but all have lower product quality IME

Over the past 2 years or however long I've been using Jantzen, I've had good success with getting all my shirts, some lightning fast, others fairly prompt. And I never order 'must haves', so I can afford to be patient, and if I never get them no big deal. For the price and what you get, I've yet to find any other online services that compare.

What's the solution? Are people just sending their complete orders via fax?

Jantzen is the hot girl who is great in bed but treats you like garbage in front of your friends, reducing you to lamely explaining why you are still with her.

7 shirt order placed 10/08/07 received today 12/05/07. This has always been the average turnaround time for me with Jantzen, with one order being an exception that only took about 3 weeks
