Just tried my first email order and followed up with a call. Ricky shared that he has a huge backlog and that it would be a while. Will let you know when the shirts arrive.
Oh well. The more things change ...
I venture to guess based on the number of people that post on Jantzen threads and what I assume to be a quite significant number of lurkers, SF can and does cause some of this backlog -- whenever people have said for a while that service is bad, workload goes down enough that people start reporting getting their shirts, which causes another spike, etc. I suppose it can't be helped, but I think the lesson is don't get any shirts so I can get mine quicker. I've asked a friend of mine in HK to pick up shirts for me before flying to the states, and that was definitely the best solution: a 1-day turnaround!
