VIA rail used to have this great first class service. When I was a kid, you'd pay an extra $20 or so for first class, and drink as much as you could, all included.

i have only been aggravated enough once in 4 years of the railroad to get a drink-it was because the train was an hour late. plus, i usually go straight to the gym after work.

a. Two beers? that's barely a buzz. no self respecting alcoholic is that much of a lightweight.. b. Accounting? Not physically tough, but can definitely be EXTREMELY stressful, trust me on that one.

now that's an alcoholic.. Edit: Now that I think about it, 90%of my CPA friends are all borderline alcoholics, at the very least.

Dakota Rube, my situation is really identical to yours. Petite girl, great body, does modeling, yada yada yada. The first time I went out with her, towards the end of the date she says, "I've never had this much fun while not drinking". Say what? I was working off a hangover as I had just gotten back in town from a three day long vacation with the buddies so I know I wasn't my usual self, so I couldn't have been that entertaining. I didn't think much of it but thought it was an odd comment.

Every single day, and this is no exaggeration, she goes out to clubs/bars drinking with friends. Whenever I have gone out with her at night, you guessed what it was for...drinks. She doesn't get drunk every night and most times only has a drink or two. But, she's also looking to get another job and you guessed it, she wants to work for an alcohol company.

I could never be involved with a girl who was a drunk. It goes way beyond a simple vice; she isn't even in touch with her true self, because she constantly spackles it over with alcohol. Her addiction robs her of herself, and so robs me of her. There's no basis for a true relationship under those conditions.

What really defines being an alcoholic? I mean, I know the extremes, but where is the line? The rules are shifty.

Getting shitfaced by yourself is definitely one.
