Honestly, I've never been a fan of it. It so rarely looks good that I tend to avoid it. You might be right about the socks, but I don't think it would make enough of a difference for me to like it

Looks fine. He said it wasn't a business meeting so in that context I think it looks great.

@Caustic Man hey thanks for commenting! Yeah, I agree I probably did get the patterns a little wrong with this one - the scale of the patterns don't quite work. I quite like the tie myself but appreciate it's not to everyone's taste...

I think your reaction may be unwarranted.
