Ridiculous. 90% of people don't recover from Diffuse Axonal Injuries.

That level of G should have been instant death.

Haven't seen that Kubica crash in forever.

How is he still alive after that???

Those monocoques are unbelievably strong, that Hans device is also life saving. Without it, he'd be a vegetable.

Kubica has had a pretty bad run when it comes to accidents. He almost died in a rally car about 2 years ago.

Kubica's car was impaled by the end of a guardrail which nearly amputated his lower arm.

The Kubica crash I think is a good example of all the safety design working. Seeing all those pieces exploding off the car looks horrific, but is probably a good thing (dissipates the crash energy). The Bianci crash on the other hand is a drivers worst nightmare.

When I saw that the car lifted the tractor off the ground, I understood the severity of the crash. Truly shocked that he's actually alive.

If you want to call it alive. I can't see him recovering beyond a vegetative state.

Any MotoGP watchers... wow, what a race. It's an incredible testament to how much they ride on the ragged edge.
