Seeking some advice. I sent this message to [email protected] yesterday, but either it did not get through, or they're still sorting out orders from the big sale last weekend. :)

I seem to fluctuate somewhere between 35" to 36" waist (TTS), with some brands in 36" being too roomy, and some 35" waists in other brands being too slim. However, yesterday, I had the opportunity to try on some jcrew Bowery Slims in 35"x30" and other than being a touch long, they fit me very well in the waist, seat and legs. Can with direct experience between the two recommend the best likely fit for me in both Walt and Rivet Chinos? Not sure if I should go 34" or 35".

Thanks!

You'll probably want a 36 rivet, actually. My waist is smaller than yours (between a 34-35 in actual measured inches) and end up in size 36 pants through EP - mainly b/c of the seat and thighs. FWIW, I can wear a 34x32 in JCrew Bowery pants w/o problems.

Really though, take that pair of pants you tried on that fit well. Measure them pursuant to EP's fit chart, and then buy the pair that most closely matches the measurements of the pants you like. That will never lead you wrong.

Best advice is to measure a well fitting pair of pants and compare the measurements to the listed measurements on the website.

I'm with El Argentino, 34 Bowery pants fit me great but I go to a 36 in rivets to get the fit in the seat and thigh. Then I just have the waist taken in a touch. The new rivets fit a little better and I might try a 34 or 35 in these.

That said, we're about four weeks out from our Portugal-made suit separates. Grey & Navy Barberis 110s wool. Walt cut on the trouser (with a slightly stronger taper after the knee). Vittorio shape for the single breasted jacket. And a small stock of double breasted jackets. $595 retail for the trouser + SB jacket, $675 retail for the trouser + DB jacket. It's unstoppable and will be the best OTR suit anywhere for the money. After we nailed that down, the LA duck suit kind of fell to the wayside. This thing is going to be amazing.
I didn't even know this was in the pipeline!

Can you divulge any addtl details on the SB model? Similar lapel sizes as you're currently doing, half canvas, partially lined, dual rear vents, two button, welt breast pocket and hip insert flap pocket?

If you want to save that info for the unveiling I totally understand

I've worn a small (penny sized) hole in a pair of Rivets, and would like to get them repaired. I'm sure my tailor could fix them, but I'd like to have someone more experienced handle this repair. Has anyone had a similar repair completed?

Received my linen navy and cream windowpane Walts, they look great. Unfortunately, I think they are going to be too tight for me. I ordered size 33, same as my cramerton chinos, but I don't think these will give like those did. I had them hemmed at 32. If anyone is interested in them, please let me know. I don't think I can let them out enough to work.

Doyle sizing question. I'm a large in the Essex and in the EP shirting, should I think 40 or 42 in a Doyle? I was thinking 42 but maybe 40 would be better...

Hard to say. I'm a medium in Essex, EP shirts and 38 in Doyle (quite fitted though so I suspect a 40 would work too).
