I am seeking some recommendations for “cult classic” outerwear. Essentially items that are unique to a brand or designer and straddles the casual and formal divide well (i.e. items that can be dressed up a little).

As an example, my current collection includes: Private White Twin Track, Nigel Cabourn Cameraman, Engineered Garments Bedford, Arny’s Forestiere, Valstar Valstarino, Universal Works Baker Jacket, Rocky Mountain Featherbed Christy Vest, Fay Fireman Coat, Aspesi M-65, Filson Cruiser, Rogue Territory Supply Jacket, Baracutta Harrington, Gloverall Duffle Coat, Belstaff Trailmaster.

Basically pieces that come back regularly in multiple seasonal collections or are considered a staple classic for a brand.

Nothing too formal (i.e. overcoats or sportcoats) or too fashion forward (i.e. most pieces from Kapital or Junya Watanabe).

I had previously posted in the classic menswear thread but I realized this is the better place for the post. My apologies if I broke any rules as a new member.

I am just wondering is Fay Archive not considered a good clothing brand or why is so little talk about it on the forum when it seems it is considered as classic outerwear/workwear brand for many?
