Really impressed by Carmina's customer service in this thread. I havent ordered a pair yet, but Im really looking forward to it in the next couple of months.

I have the LWB on Detroit but it is the only Carmina I own.

I’m considering the bal boot (Forrest) but have a wider foot (US 10.5E in almost every AE last) AND a high instep. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the C&J 325 works great in normal width in both a derby boot and a loafer.

So, any opinions on whether a normal width bal boot on Forrest would close well enough? Thanks

I also have a wide foot with a high instep. Never tried Forest on a bal boot but on a shell derby shoe I found it painfully tight in the instep. I'd probably suggest a different last in your case, though I've heard Forest EEE has much more room in the instep.

You're not alone, my amaretto's are still "in production" according to my order details in my account.

I, for one, would be very happy to receive surprise boots. I placed my order towards the end of the last MTO promotion, though, so I'm not expecting them yet.
