Hi all, thinking of getting a Shell Cordovan Burgundy boot in Soller on carmina's website. I understand is a wide fitting last.

I usually wear a UK7, would a 6.5UK fit? Carmina does give a little more room to their shells, am i right?

Wrote to Carmina to ask about their shank material, and the response was "metal shank wrapped in carton".

How would you guys say is the support provided by carmina shoes in comparison to alden or church's 173's?

I usually wear Inca 9UK, which is snug but stretched out to become comfortable. I bought simpson lasted 9.5UK suede loafers, however I am experiencing some heel lift. I can't quite get the loafers to fall off my feet, but I can certainly lift the heel about half an inch off the sole. The front of the shoe feels like it fits fine, but perhaps my instep is too low. Is the shoe a half size big? Or are loafers supposed to be fairly relaxed fitting??
