For reference, I spent about 2 hours on this and another pair to achieve that colour. It is just a mix of waxes, the colours listed above, applied slowly and patiently.

So about one hour per pair? Any Saphir Reno in there?

Sorry if I'm bombarding with questions; that's just a bloody good shine.

So wax, not cream?

I've tried using burgundy and mahogany colored wax on tan shoes, but not really seing any huge difference. Then again, I did not go over and over and over...
I wish you made a tutorial :). It does, like someone stated before, look like a far more expensive shoe. Shine is one thing, but you've achieved a wonderful antiquing.

If one goes wrong, could it be stripped of again using Renomat?

Ethan does has a tutorial.

Enojy.

Now I've watched it. Lovely little film. Wish he spent a bit more time showing the burnishing that he just briefely mentions with the tan shoes. Nevertheless, an inspiring film.

Interesting to see that he uses cotton balls to apply polish...must try that one day.

i found that interesting also. He said he can go up to 3 hours polishing, i would venture to say hes probably got the strongest fingers ever.

Also interesting that he doesn't use rubber gloves. Saphir stuff has such a strong smell of petroleum my fingers reek of it despite wearing gloves.

Not to mention a lot of spare time.

That's what he is paid to do, right? He is doing something he likes and get paid at the same time. Most of the people in Hong Kong are wearing dress shoes as cheap as $30 US, I certainly appreciate what they offer. At least, they solved my shoes problems 2 years ago when I relocated to Hong Kong.
