Been visiting these forums a lot lately so I thought I'd pop in here and say Hi.
I'm Foxy, I'm a 19yo Comp. Science Student from Melbourne, and I enjoy injecting all my hard earned cash into my Wardrobe. I also enjoy long walks on the beach and first dates which involve watching American Psycho.
Mate, go to Enrico Santi in Pitt St.Sorry to be a pest - having a sporadic trip to Sydney tomorrow - can anyone tell me a few places where I can get sized up for a pair of loakes?
I think the problem with DJ's was that they don't have the Loake 1880s, and they sell the lesser lines for $400+, about the same price as a much better pair of C&J, Meermin or Carmina.
If you just go and try a pair for size, the lasts used on the lesser lines are not the same as the 1880s, so you will only be getting an approximate guide.
$195 a good price and very convenient. I'm emailing Crockett and Jones right now, and they want to sell me a pair of shoe trees for $115.
How hot would a 16 oz flannel be? Melbourne/Canberra only?
