+1. I've got a pencil-stripe shirt from H&K that has very fine, pinkish-red stripes, and I've also got a butcher's stripe shirt from Borrelli that has quite faded red stripes. I don't wear the latter shirt nearly enough but, when I do, I tend to wear it with a charcoal suit and a black knit tie.

I don't like the idea of a really bright red, as I think that it would tend to overpower everything else in your outfit.

Here's an example of the Borrelli shirt, albeit with a mid-gray suit.

Hi guys. Can anyone please tell me which brand this picture is from. I know its an Australian brand which had pretty fancy advertising as well- men dressed in Italian styled shirts and undies, walking on the road with hot chicks. Cannot remember the brand name. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

GN, I haven't seen many nice, off-the-rack examples. Most of the red-and-white, bengal striped shirts that I've seen either have too much texture to the fabric - too satiny, for example - or the stripes are bordered or guarded by a fine stripe or a different texture, neither of which tends to look very nice.

It's quite a British look (in my opinion, at least), so you may have some luck with some of the British shirtmakers like H&K or H&H, although I'm not sure how well they'll fit you.

Edited to add: As I suspected, Harvie & Hudson have such a fabric in both their slim- and regular-fit ranges, but only with double cuffs. They make nice, machine made shirts but the fit is quite generous.

I've seen some by Barba on Shop The Finest. We are probably not the same size, however, so your mileage may vary (to coin a phrase)...

I tried to ignore it but enough is enough. I'm sick of my feet sliding around in my shoe. I want them to be firm.

It's hard for there to be zero heel slippage. There's always going to be slight friction. Unless you go bespoke.

Unless you get giant blisters, I'd just suck it up and enjoy the imperfections of life.

    Hey Bunny

Just saw your post man, hope you're well! I'm looking at either navy or plain white... How's your Ivy collection progressing?

Romp - thanks for sizing heads up!
