I've often debated the SB Peak lapel. I'll probably do it when I fall in love with some suiting fabric I cannot do without.

I have 12 suits that are SB peak lapels. One of them is even black, Oh yeah, and I only wear black shoes. I am a disgrace to groupthink.

Did you actually see me wearing it?

Very possible. I recall pulling out all the stops and wearing it one Easter. Usually I reserve it for big city wear.

You might be right about the color being inky rather than black ... although I think RA calls it black. They also have a version in navy.

BTW ... I like the avatar. Nice looking kitty!

SB w/ peaked lapel -- with the right cut/cloth/colorway -- has my seal of approval.
Advent appropriate color.

I was digging around for the suits that Ted Danson has been wearing in "Bored to Death" (super comic series, for those who haven't been introduced to it yet) and came across this thread. Gentlemen, peak lapel SB is not only a classic statement of "power suit", it actually looks very dashing on tall-ish people with broad shoulders. (The peak lapel in general looks like dribble on small shoulders because you don't want the lapel to be brushing your armholes.) Given that Ted Danson has been spotted close to the Zegna family in recent years, it's possible his stuff in the program is made by Su Misura, maybe, but it's truly marvelous stuff.
