I just received a pair of Del Rays in 13D, which are also the 8 last, and they fit like a dream as well. I'm chalking up the others to an ill fit or possible Nordstrom Rack selling seconds.

not to keep spamming the thread...but the shoes I had that were a tad too tight are now fitting pretty well. I just left shoe trees in them for 24h and it seemed to stretch them out to the point where there is no more stretching.

I can't think of any that you haven't listed. The McClain is being sold as clearance item on the AE site. Also, Nordstrom still carries the Clifton. And then Nordstom Rack sometimes has Hales.

EDIT: Also add the Parkland loafer as another discounted style (currently on clearance on AE website)

Here is a list I got somewhere a little while back showing a lot of the AE models and the lasts. It does not include any of the newer models from the past few months. No guaranty on accuracy, I am just passing the list along.

    It is in Word format.

The Leeds and Dundee both are perfect for what you are looking for. A lot depends on the vertical market you are working in and where in that market but overall they both fit the bill in my experience. I started out with black Leeds then burgundy shell Leeds, if I could do it over again I would have purchased the black shell Leeds instead of calf. #8 is pretty universal in that it can be paired with most slacks and is a good place to start. My personal preference is to have my shoes darker than my slacks and because I also own a lot of shoes and boots in various shades of brown find myself purchase lighter shades of slacks when needing new ones. Now that I have I am on the inside looking out I can tell you that your going to stand above your peers, who are most likely wearing black square toed bicycle shoes. I still do some consulting on the side which is where my shoe money comes from, good luck and I wish you much success.

That is centerfold material, beautiful job!!

Aye, you aren't the only one! And the cappuccino Dundee. Waiting for a call back from AE now, I called this morning and asked if I could have the burgundy shell Dundee instead of the third attempt at the Bradley's. The Bradley's hadn't shipped yet but she said that it would have to go through the manager who was on another call. Figure I can come back for the Bradley's at a later time.

That cappuccino is beautiful, as are the rest of them.

Isn't there a new shade of brown coming out around the first of the year? Bourbon, or something like that? [IMG]

I had a question on shoe width that I hoped somebody would be able to help me with. I have four pairs of Allen Edmonds and all are 11 EEE. Two pairs (Kenilworth, Malvern) seem to fit a little loose, while two pairs fit well (Park Avenue, Weybridge). I am planning to buy a pair of Strands, but can't decide between EEE and E. The shoe fit print out suggests I go with an E width, which is the way I am leaning. Am I correct to do this? Thanks.

Strands should fit pretty close to the Park Ave. Both on the 5 last.
So I would go for EEE if the PA fits good.

I'm not sure if they have been discontinued but the Quintons are also on the 8 last.

I have the old Mora, but I don't remember it being an 8 last. I'll check to confirm when I get home...
