Bourbon McAllisters:

It's funny- I have around 15 pairs of AE's (granted, a couple are seasonal- Jingle Bell Moks and 1776's, as well as suede Strands and Cavanaughs), but I feel like I'm posting the same stuff every week lol.

If I had bourbon goodness like that, I'd be posting it regularly too!

You've definitely posted those but they are still probably the best bourbon I've seen. They look MUCH better than my bourbon 5th aves. If I had bourbons that looked that good I'd wear them as often as you seem to wear those haha.

This is actually only my second or third time wearing them lol- I also have bourbon Strands that I've worn twice. Side by side comparison:

Maybe I was lumping them together. Both look excellent. They didn't have my size on the ebay store sadly. I was going to grab the last pair that was in stock in my size on the shoebank but the SA told me the tiger striping was pretty bad on one of the shoes.

I have trouble fitting the Strand as well - while I do fairly well on other 5-last shoes, the Strand is cut very tightly. I'm fully a D-width and have a high instep, and I'm guessing the combination of those things means trouble for me. I didn't have break-in problems so much as consistent tightness.

How interesting; this is exactly the opposite of my experience. I have the Strand in both shell and calf, and it fits looser than my chili Fifth Aves on leather sole, about the same as my Dainite Fifth Aves, and similarly to my Jefferson 1.0

Back in the Madison Parks for "Cheap Clothes, Expensive Shoes" on this Tuesday. Sorry, my rotation is quite modest by the standards set on this thread. I have a couple pairs under evaluation that will hopefully added soon if they are not returned.

Bob's Chilli Mcallisters for the day.

I had to have a shine from Irma at the 43rd street store. The best shine in the city in my opinion.

How did she shine them if you don't mind my asking? I typically use a variation of shoe snob shining though when I have AE premium polish for colors outside of black I tend to skip the cream polish part. For higher shin I use neutral on the cap or toe of the shoe and heal since I don't find the premium polish to leave a high shine.
