I think that's them dying the wool interlining so it won't show through the weave of the grenadine.
Yeah, that's the interlining, not the actual tie. It's a nice touch.

I proposed last night and she said yes, gentlemen. I'm still not sure which tie I will wear at my wedding, but I definitely want to get myself a chocolate fina as a self wedding gift.
Now, I just have to convince my parents that renting a tuxedo is NOT the classiest way to go.
If you were to have one of these for your only navy tie, which one would you get:
