Please provide suggestions on wedding tie, it will be for my own wedding
I am wearing a navy db suit, white shirt, classic black oxfords.

Thinking of this POW tie :

Thoughts? Any suggestions I should consider?
Cheers

If you wind up getting one, post some pics...I've been thinking about the same thing!

For something a little less traditionally English, I like this charcoal/silver grossa grenadine. View attachment 2039129

I like the silver grenadine recommendation, but really, ANY of the ties under the Hober Wedding Ties page would look great. Also, 👍 👍 to your navy DB plan.

I'd go either the houndstooth or the POW you listed.
Maybe a change for a reception if you're one of those weirdos (since you're on SF, you likely are), but why mess with the classics for the ceremony?

I placed my maiden SH order. 7 ties. All my Brooks and Paul Stuart ties are already pouting.

My inaugural order is going to be a bday treat to myself next month! Already got 3 picket out...

Question for the crowd - is getting a tie hand rolled edges without tipping just an aesthetic choice or does it impact the performance/durability or formality level of a tie?

Ping David for an expert opinion, but I'd half suspect tipping is optimal from a durability POV.

But, get rolled edges...especially if you're going Hober.

just checked and it says that hand rolled edges need to be untipped

also 2 of the 3 ties I wanted are out of stock haha...guess I'll be waiting for a re-stock now...

Also may be worthwhile pinging David regarding OOS. Not to say he can conjure up the goods, but I know he's definitely gone above and beyond (speaking from experience) in finding fabrics for customers.

It’s an aesthetic choice and possibly less durable because there is no fabric behind the bottom part of the tie, IMO. One isn’t more formal than the other.

Both options look nice regardless, but I order most of my ties tipped.

Does anyone by any chance have any pictures of both of these POW tie?

had a browse through the search function, seems like the popular POW tie here is the pwt-4

https://www.samhober.com/neckties/p...and-white-prince-of-wales-silk-tie-pwt-4.html

Hoping to see some real pictures to discern how dark/light it is

Cheers

It’s a nice tie and goes well with a dark grey suit.
