I ask because I like the look but I'm trying to figure out if I can use it for an upcoming trip where I have lug a black tie rig across the Atlantic. I don't think I can fit folded shirts but would be ok for sweaters and etc. I've been thinking about it for a few days and I think it's hard for me to visualize what I can do with the bag without handling it first.

Lugging a black tie rig is a PITA. I have done it twice in the past 12 months with a garment bag and didn't like it. I'm looking for an alternative.

USPS tracking tells me Canada Customs is now pawing through my haul. Since the items are made in Italy and UK, I'm steeling myself for the biggest amount of duty and taxes I've ever paid for a package. This web site estimates $470, but I'm preparing for twice that.

poorsod - that bag is very cool but certainly not the most practical. The whole opening and closing with the straps and lock takes a bit of time. I am not sure I would use it to travel with a suit (or even less for black tie). As PSG mentioned, it packs like a backpack in one tall stack.

If the bill does come to that amount, yeah, next time I'll pick the stuff up in person. :) I'm hoping that it won't come to nearly $1K.

razl and tdude, thanks, guys!!!! just grabbed a tie thanks to ya'll. :)

after seeing that fit pic with the calabrese, and remembering that the rust version was sold out, and then seeing that the navy was sold out as well, i had to snag the light blue version before that was gone too.

ah, good occasion to remind everyone (now that it's working...), please fill out the "Notify me when this product is in stock"

only way for us to figure out what we should re-engage the makers on.
