Took the plunge and bought this Kilgour DB SC off Etsy. Not exactly thrift store price, but at least I know the buttons themselves cost more than what I paid for the jacket.

Oh yea, and the one of the guy's we had dinner with was, I shit you not, wearing a skeet blanket blazer that he got in Vegas. And my wife happened to mention to him that we call Robert Graham pieces skeet blankets. I think he was too drunk at that point to understand what she was talking about though. lol8[1].gif

I turned my day drinking into night drinking. Went out to dinner with my wife and two of her coworkers. I once had foie gras ice cream, as unusual as that sounds, it was amazing. It was after one of the most delectable osso buccos of my life, paired with a full bottle of Stags Leap. Damn that was a good meal.

That spread looks fantastic HH.

It looks like the new official snack of the thrift thread is wine and cheese.

Next we will see someone post a picture of a box of Franzia with some Kraft singles asking if they did well. Followed by a meme with the words; "That is not the wine and cheese you're looking for."

Anyone know anything about 1970s Gucci?
Saw a tie this morning that was Made in France with some sort of serial number like XXX-XX-XX-1973
It was burgundy with grey turtles the size of dimes on it. It was also mega wide.
My first thought was that the pattern's interesting and that there's surely enough material there to make a bow tie.

My wife knows that I have quite the affinity for both cheese and various red wines. The best was the one at the top...it's a British cranberry cheese. It was unreal.

I got this Gorsart for stupid cheap, by NYC thrift prices, that is. Other than being too short (it's a 38S while I wear 38R/L), it fits better than anything I have put on. Screw it, I'm going with it.
