Leffot Color 8 Longwings (no grey or argyle socks were available, so had to go with the navy)

Great pickup Alcibiades! Antique edge looks awesome. Couldn't get myself to pull the trigger on these a couple of weeks ago; so close to both of my color 8 and cigar LWBs. I picked up a pair of color 8 SWB instead. I'll post pics when they arrive.

MrDV, you are solidifying your legend in my book. Aside from Uncle, not sure there is another SF'er I envy more as far as an Alden collection goes. Cheers my friend and enjoy your amazing collection... With respect, RTP
thanks for the kind words, uncle mac has been a big inspiration and bad influence depending on how you see things...
Don't forget CTYGGG's inspiring collection (with some of the best photographs in the Alden thread)

I just grabbed a pair of the pebbled LWB and am curious who's behind the "made in USA" label as well.
Their retail price of $550 has me thinking it's not AE, but I don't know if that's wishful thinking...

Those are Alden. I have had them for a few years and wore them yesterday for casual Friday.

I am considering pulling the trigger on these. Was curious how different they would work with your wardrobe compared to a black shell LWB. Do/would you wear them with the same apparel? Any differences? I suppose the pebble grain makes them more casual, but I think you can dress them up and down the same way you would with the black shell. Yes?? No??

I do not have black shell long wings. They are not my most versatile shoe. I like them but I am still trying to find the best things to pair them with. I usually do sports jacket and trousers. Yesterday I wore them with jeans for the first time and liked it. Still, I usually grab something brown when in a rush.

maiden voyage, and first suede/flex welt Alden I've worn. Incredible comfort straight out of the box.

Great looking boots jkater1. I wish I could find a pair like yours.
Thanks for posting.
I was inspired by blue collar's post from yesterday. I wore sw ravellos today.

Thank you, when I see the cap toe boots I wish I had gone after those. I wonder if I had them both which would be worn more.

Cleaning up some of my shell boots. Though that I would share the pictures.

I apologize if the Viberg and Wolverine (Made by AE) offend anybody.

Great looking boots. Every time I see the 721ltd I kick myself for not picking up a pair.

Great looking boot my friend!  Wish I had jumped on either the ravello or #4 wingtip boots when I had the chance.

Thank you.
