Don't remember who's photo this is but this eBay seller is using your photos and putting his/her ID on your photo:

Yeah that's my photo.
Funny that he holds that up as an example of cordovan. The one in the middle is calf.

Just looking out, been seeing a bunch of stolen photos all over recently. You should charge the seller royalty fees of like 5%

That seller has been accused numerous times on SF for lifting photos from here. At this point, it would be a surprise if his listings didn't contain at least once such picture.

The picture above Zippyh's belows to SF member Arrow seen on this page of the Alden thread

my dudes, you need to smarten up. anytime I have to make an international phone call, I make it from my gmail account.

I can call Singapore for 2 cents a minute, FREE to anyone in the US, UK is like 10 cents a minute......and no connection fees.

if I travel overseas, forget a cellphone. get a wifi connection, log into gmail and I can call home for 1 cent a minute.

Mac'd and Reno'd my whole Alden collection today....

And then the wife takes the camera. UGH.

But I'll just post some beautiful, envious photos tomorrow.

Cigar LWB, #8 SWB, NatCXL Indy. Use your imagination.

Took delivery of the Color 4 Wingtip boot today. These babies are gorgeous, but I'm having a hard time justifying them when I just got my Ravello WT boots not even 2 months ago.

The Color 4 is superb, but it is quite close to Ravello.

What say ye, fellow Alden aficionados?

Natural CXL tankers, first time out of the house. Supremely comfortable, and I finally think I got my size 100% correct on the Barrie, after years of compromising on other sizes. Well worth the wait on the preorder, and as always, top notch service from Tom, Oki and the gang at Leather Soul Waikiki.

Wow, those both look great. The colors aren't too far apart on the color scale and I don't know that I personally would keep both. However, you could always justify owning the ravello pair with speed hooks to wear more casually and the #4s with all eyelets to wear with dress trousers. Just sayin...

@sazon

if only you were a size 7.5D i'd take either one off your hands...

they both look lovely. between the 2, i'd probably keep the #4s though.

No, ravello 100%

The color 4 is great, but color 8 and cigar look awesome and fill that darker gap better. Nothing touches ravello.

Those number 4 boots are sweet. i would have jumped on board if I knew for certain they would be all eyelet. Enjoy them!

Shoemart web site lists them as 5 eyelet and 4 speedhooks...hm?

Shameless plug:

I am rustling up some interest in the Alden MTO thread for a pebble grain and shell black LWB. I've been looking for a black shoe for a while now, and i think this is an interesting take on a classic shoe.

I'm proposing a variation on the shoe picture below...black shell cordovan on the vamp and pebble grain on the lower piece of leather as well as on the lace attachment (or the reverse, for that matter).

I'd also like to add a commando sole, and possibly matched eyelets.

eager to hear your thoughts....
