Great shoes and great bokeh on the pics, MP!

MP very nice Alpine grain v-tips from Leather Soul, been looking at them myself. I seem to have a thing for NSTs, your pics and those of McArthur are doing serious damage to my bank account.

Some good news from Kirby Allison's Hanger Project:

"After a two-year absence from the U.S. market, we have finally obtained EPA approval to resume selling the much-popular Saphir Renovating Suede & Nubuck Sprays and Super Invulner Waterproofing Spray."

It's hard to see how wearing a pair of $500 boots can be considered slumming.

Great boots! CXL is so comfy...

The black fleece pair is on grant last which is way sleeker than barrie and at the price you paid it's well worth to keep IMO.

Great point, Rydenfan. With shell getting toward $800, Indys are arguably "cheap." thumbs-up.gif

Have a good one!

Thanks Stevent.  Also got the pebble chukka (black).  Unsure if the black cordovan is as versitile.

J Gilbert, as of a couple of weeks ago, is accepting preorders for their Plaza lasted version of the Wingtip Boots w/Commando Sole. I was quoted a price of $725 and they are expecting delivery in Fall/Winter.

Are the commando soles low profile? Based on pics from J Gilbert's website, it seems I'd rather have a leather sole for added elegance. I don't really care about weather issues and traction because it barely ever rains here in Los Angeles.

It's so much easier to look at posts like this knowing those shoes are in my collection! Great pics!

Alden's commando sole is very low profile. Unnoticeable when wearing in my opinion.
