Alden of San Francisco, $710 shipped in 9.5D (I wear a 10 usually, Barrie last). Some heel slippage, but its minor and I understand that it settles over time.

Great shoe, wonderful service.

BTW, dumb question and I know some pining over this hiuge thread would answer my questions, but what are "seconds?"

I subscribed to the Shoe Mart's seconds list for 10 and 10.5, got the confirmation, and have yet to ever receive a list (checked Junk folder, etc). If anyone is willing to send me a recent edition of those, drop me a PM. Thanks in advance.

just doest show up at all. I called TSM, they resent the emails to gmail and nothing showed up. Few minutes later i call back and give them my archaic yahoo account address from high school and sure enough it was there. So the following phone call to TSM was for a purchase, not email bs. yahoo still has a place in this google eat google world

I just called them and they said they didn't have much new inventory and the lists contained pretty much older stuff. They did say that there "may" be a problem with gmail. So I gave them a non-gmail account.

You used the word "rational" as a noun in your original quotation. Note that in the dictionary reference you linked above, the only use of rational as a noun is a mathematical term that refers to a number

Natural Chromexcel sure is a scuff magnet. I don't have any other Chromexcel shoes, but I wonder, is it all so scuff-prone? I have those Leathersoul LWBs in Natural Chromexcel, and I swear, if I look at them wrong, they get scuffed.
