Ok, since nobody bought them, I am still haunted by this choice:

(1) Pay around $850 for the Frans Boone Plaza Boot (with nearly instant gratification) and either give up my $150 deposit on the Leffot Tankers or else buy them and sell them off when they finally come in 2014.

or

(2) Wait until 2014 and pay the remaining $600 for the Leffot Tankers, avoiding the issue above, saving money, and having plenty of time to responsibly budget for them.

Problems, problems, problems.  :puzzled:

Thoughts?  Thanks.

Which last do you prefer? I think that would make my decision for me.

Looking good! I wonder if the Leffot arrival signals more of Leffot's spring pre-orders are on the near horizon.....I'm anxiously waiting for the tobacco chamois lwb for sloppy fall and winter weather....

This Barrie last is too large volume wise. I have 91/2 D feet but they are thin. I can't go down width wise .. Neuromas .. Wondering if the plaza is my answer?

If your looking for Whiskey LWB 9D meticulously cared for, check my sig. Hate to eat the price difference but must move forward. Priced to move or Best Offer. Wanted to offer my fellow SFer's before EBay.

Stunning......and if I may, one of the things I like most about this site is the way many members really take chances with their socks/slacks combo and make them work. I doubt that I would have ever considered this combination but you make it work nicely.

horrible pic, but just picked up this evening. maybe I should try and flip them for $1295 :rotflmao:
I saw that earlier .. I've passed now on two Ravello make ups ... Not a flipper but might have to reconsider.. Wow almost twice the price for another brown pair of shoes as my wife refers to them. Beautiful .. Wish the last was for me...

I am awaiting those as well. Really looking forward to them. Last I heard was September so hopefully they are still due within the next few weeks...

Thoughts? Thanks.

Are you kidding? Those are two different boots. You will love having them both. Get both. Wear both.

In all seriousness, if you really don't have the money for both, then you have already answered the question in the way you posed it. But they are two different boots; they are both great-looking, and you will enjoy them both.

I like my shoes a lot, I really do. Having said that, there isn't one pair of shoes that I own that I would not immediately part with if someone offered me double the price I paid.
