This past week: nine bespoke Ascot Chang shirts, one pair of RL shell Marlow wingtips, and eleven Drake's ties. Not pictured: Alden unlined chukkas, Kelty Vintage Mockingbird backpack, a pair of Supergas, and a safari shirt jacket by Ralph Lauren.

Great haul, Derek. I assumed we'd see some sort of safari shirt purchase surface after your article on them last week.

^ Damn, man. That's a lot for a week. No wait, that's a lot for a year. Nice haul.

Thank you :)

Waiting for those myself, in tan suede. What are yours?

Tan suede. I'll be honest, I'm not normally an Alden guy, but these are fantastic. Some of the best casual shoes you can buy for summer, IMO. I've only had them for a short while, but I'm finding that they're quite easy to wear with casual ensembles.

Needed to get a new pair of beige chinos as my old pair shrank too much over time and are now just too short. Ended up going for a cotton/linen blend this time. Also, couldn't resist a great white linen s/s shirt (with a rare for LP slim-cut body) and a pair of navy lightly-brushed cotton trousers. The navy trousers are non-SF approved, I'm sure, but I think I'll end up wearing them quite a bit and the fabric should cope well in both shoulder seasons in the UK. As I'm not one for jeans very much, having a pair of navy trousers makes some sense.

Really nice, how much did you pay for the pants?

eye cancer.
apropos, the marlow above looks better than anyone's posted before. are they different?

Can't tell if you meant to direct this at me, but no, I don't believe they're different.

To improve my iGent score, I'm getting a pair of EG Shannons, most likely in dark oak. I called Leffot though and they said if I order now, delivery time will be in Dec. I might put in an order this month. :satisfied:

I'm not an Alden guy either, but I think I will really like them as well. Problem is that I have difficult feet, so I'm trying not to be too enthusiastic beforehand...
