That Milner stripe shirt was the one I ordered but ended up not receiving it due to inventory issue. Obviously Rick took care of me by offering alternative but I would want that shirt instead...

Rick @spiermackay , I saw a couple of new OTR shirts and custom fabrics are up. Are you expecting more to come in the coming days?

I grabbed http://www.spierandmackay.com/product_information/3480_ a while ago thinking it was this http://www.spierandmackay.com/product_information/3626_dusk_bue_end_on_end instead. I just received a bunch of shirts and as much as I'd like to drop another $100 on 3 shirts I'm going to be patient. Any suggestions on how I can wear the light blue chambray? I'm really struggling.

Also Rick is this the wrong picture here? This doesn't look like an end on end to me, more like a royal something: http://www.spierandmackay.com/product_information/3623_sky_blue_end_on_end

(Who am I kidding? I'll probably spring for 3 more shirts with my order of a suede belt! I have 14 Spier shirts already)

I totally agree with the suggestion to extensively use the button-down collar for more casual materials going forward. Would love to have had that as a RTW option for your two dressy linen shirts from this summer and will really appreciate it on any flannels going forward!

^Chocolate suede or Medium brown suede would probably be a hit.

On another note...I just got in 3 shirts today, and in short I am simply blown away. The Simcoe flannel shirts are easily the most comfortable shirts I have ever put on. I got the blue and the burgundy/navy check and they are spectacular. The only nitpick I have is that they may be better served with a button down collar, but in no way is that a deal breaker. If these shirts fit you, you should order them immediately.

The third shirt I received is the light blue Milner stripe. It is also very comfortable, and what you can't see in the photos is that it has an interesting weave and texture to it--not unlike you would see in a linen shirt. I really can't believe the pricepoint these are going at.

Going forward, I think certain shirts that lean towards casual wear (herringbone flannels) would go a long way with having a button down collar. Also, better descriptions of the fabrics on the site is a must. For example, the red&blue check flannel shirt is also a herringbone texture, and it doesn't state that anywhere in the description. I think it would take a lot of the guesswork out of the equation and minimize returns. I will definitely be keeping these three.

Glad you are happy! Great feedback. We are in the middle of a full site rebuild and will be looking to make a lot of changes, including better images and descriptions.

Thanks for letting me know about that image. I'll get it changed ASAP.

The chambray works really well with lighter grey or brown trousers.

Funny you asked. We were just talking about that here in the office. Any colours you would like to see?

Dark brown suede vote here as well. It must be one of the most common colours for suede shoes, so logically the belt would follow. I could use one.

Question to you Rick and other guys here, are there any sport coat that can be worn with blue/navy odd trousers and are not brown? I see a lot of gents wearing brown sport coats with navy trousers and they look very good. but I just don't look good in brown tone sport coat and always struggle to find something to pair with my navy trousers.

Although there's a general aversion to navy worsted trousers on these forums (I think navy casual trousers are fine, such as corduroy, chinos and such), I would challenge anyone to mention a jacket colour other than navy that navy trousers would not go with. OK, I wouldn't pair them with a black or charcoal sportcoat...but I would buy a sportcoat in either of those colours to begin with.

More are coming throughout the season. We purchase regularly and randomly based on whatever we can get our hands on.

Any chance you will be offering suiting or trousers in tweed for this winter?

The reason most suits are grey or navy is that they go with nearly everything, so it's not necessarily a colour matching thing IMHO. The aversion is due to many preferring their jacket to be darker than their pants, or simply not owning jackets light enough to provide sufficient contrast with such pants. Yet even with a lighter jacket, there are limited occasions where I would think dark blue pants to be the best option - and that's without texture entering the equation.

I believe @losrockets mentioned upthread that the 15.5" sleeve length is now 35". The fit guide still lists a 34.5" sleeve length for all the 15.5" shirts.

I need the extra 0.5". Can I tell from the model numbers which shirts have 35" sleeves and which ones have 34.5"?

I'll get that updated.

You can tell from the code. Anything with XX-760 and higher has the increased sleeve length.

Are there any changes to sleeve lengths on the 16 slim fits by chance? or is it at 35.5?

I get a lot of use out of my dark brown and snuff colored belts so you might be best off with those to start. Tan is good too but trickier to match with the variation that is out there from different shoe makers. Just ask Epaulet, they had to clear out their tan suede belts because people kept returning them due to poor matches (I was one of those returns).

Also, what happened to the walnut belt? It was easily the one I was looking forward to the most. That and I thought they were going to be 30mm and 35mm, why the change to 33"?

Only size 15, sleeve was increased 0.25" and the 15.5, sleeve was increased 0.5".

All the other sizes remained the same.

So happy for this change. 35.5" would have been better for me but I can at least give the 15.5 another try now and see how it works.

Had to cancel the walnut/tan. We rejected it during inspection, there were quality variations in the leather that just weren't acceptable. TBH, we ordered it to be 35 mm. During the inspection, we measured 33 mm and found them to be totally acceptable. I'm wearing the brown one right now with my chinos and finds that it works really well. Doesn't look to chunky, like a 35 mm can and it noticeably larger than the 30 mm. So it worked out.
