5'8 - 5'9
33-34 waist
Off the rack, I fit 40R slim or 38R non slim
I work out religiously - love deadlifts and pullups
This year I decided to get 2 MTM suits, 1 each from a different place just to see/feel out the quality before I get more done.
My budget was pretty much around $1000 for each MTM 2pc full canvas suit.
Navy blue one came back and I've kinda got mixed feelings. Now I went with this place because there were some decent reviews online and they had a discount so the stars aligned up for me to pick this place. Regular price $1350 CAD for a Super 150s. This place is located in the financial district so they must have catered to some bankers/lawyers.
The shoulders is whats bothering me the most and when I brought it up, the tailor said he gave me more shoulder room because my shoulders are very broad. Even my GF says it looks weird compared to my OTR suits but maybe shes as clueless as I am.
Need your expertise! Thanks :)

Financial district in NY or SF? If it's SF, tell me who it is so I can avoid them.

You are right that something is seriously wrong with it.

Those shoulders are way to big and the tailor is a dope.

shoulders are big.
also lighten the pic or take a better lit one but it might be that you have too much space in the front by the midsection

Thanks all for the reply. Posted this on Andy's when I was getting the error "thread does not exist" on here thinking I was too low in post count to start my own threads.

Leaving to go see the tailor now. Btw financial district in Toronto, Canada.

You take "V-taper" to a new level. The shoulders are comically wide. At first, I thought that you were a troll....I'm still not convinced that you're not.

The sleeves are a little short too.

I am far from a troll :(

The sleeves are fine they just got bunched up while I was moving around. But the suit is back to the tailor to do the adjustments now.

what's the name of the the tailor?

I'd cut the shoulder by 2 cm each side and request for less padding.

Looks very bad. Especially the skimpy lapels. Extremely disharmonious.

It looks like an RLBL suit shoulder that many people like...:)

to add, I think the lapels are too slim too, but it's the least of the problems.

have you seen any of the Toronto Tailor threads?

Take the 2 cm of width off each shoulder /
and add that 2 cm of width to the lapel (you can't literally do this, of course). You would also do better with a less structures shoulder.

Agreed - shoulders are throwing the whole jacket off.

IMO you are going to need a complete remake or refund.
