Naked and Famous

The jeans, not me. I am neither.

Keep the cuffs or hem 'em?

You're backlit; it's impossible to see any detail in your photos. That said, the sweater looks too long/big.

The Jack Nicholson from this morning.

The cardigan I changed into

And yes, guys, I'm aware my sweaters are mostly a bit on the large size ATM. As I've said before I've lost quite a lot of weight and I don't have the money to replace all my clothing.

those jeans look like they are cut slim but are fitting very loose on you. they are either two sizes too big or if they fit you perfectly in the waist then they are simply not the right cut for you.

I want to see how they would look if you cuffed them and stood with your feet closer together, but I think they will probably still look wrong.

These are the "Slim Guy" from N&S, yes. waist is about 1/2-3/4" too big (apparently between getting measured and these things arriving my waist dropped below 32"). The fit is great except for two things: length, and below the apex of my thigh. My legs are built like a T rex, a lot of meat in the upper thigh then basically twigs from the knee down. If I bend my knees more than about 30 degrees these get a bit tight.
Excuse the tail. That's the bunched material in the back popping out under my belt.

front, cuffed, with my "everyday" shoe (Clarks DB)

side cuffed

I'm thinking either the rise was too low and I'm pulling them up too high, or they're cut entirely wrong for my anatomy. I generally wear my pants at the top of my natural waist... maybe that's not how jeans work.

That buldge on the back of the waistband means they're way too big in the waist that the belt is bunching all the fabric. Size down, or look for a different cut.

Not even joking, the N&F Weird Guy (or even the Weird Guy High Waist) would very likely look far better.

ok yeah, they're just too big -- as above, I am guessing by about 2 sizes. N&F are great so you could easily stick with those. These appear to be bulging even in the thigh area, so you may have more room there than you think. Give the slim (2 sized down) a try but if that's too tight in the thighs then yeah, the weird guy is worth checking out.

You can always have them tapered below the knee too.

This is why I hate buying brands I can't try on and return

They're getting hemmed, tapered and taken in around the waist. I can't afford to buy more jeans, these were 2x what I was willing to spend, and 4x as much as I normally do. I still don't know how the hell I'm gonna pay my tailor to get my chinos, tweeds and shirts back...

Why can't you return them? Most places offer at least 7 days as long as all the original tags are still attached. Aren't you located in back east? - get into Blue in Green or SelfEdge and get yo'self some decent denim!

There's nothing wrong with N&F they just need to be the right size

don't waste money on altering these jeans. that's ridiculous. take them back and get your correct size

I love this. One day you look like you're working on the docks. The next you're working at a golf course. And the last you're working at the mall.
