OK, let's say you see an item of clothing you really like, perhaps in a magazine, in photos of a fashion show or for sale on a website in the wrong size. How would you go about finding that item? You know the label and it is from the current season. The item I am looking for is Dolce & Gabbana, so it's not exactly obscure. I am aware of the main online retailers (I think).

Thanks to anyone who can help me, and anyone who tries.

I would go on their website and find the phone number of the nearest boutique. If you saw it on the runway, be sure that it's actually in production and not just a showpiece... oftentimes what's on the runway is quite different than what is out in retail.

Are you hoping to buy it at full retail or find it on discount?

The item I want I have seen for sale. I need the next size up. I have been to the website and they only list one store in Italy. They have no real way to contact anyone except for giving feedback about the website. I decided to throw an email to them via that method but I don't hold much hope.

I would love to find it at a discount, but I am prepared to pay full whack.

I'd call up big the retail stores (Saks, Neimans, Barneys) that carry Dolce & Gabbana and see if one of their NY, Chicago, or LA stores has the item you are looking for, and could possibly mail it to you (which they should be able to do).

Otherwise, the phone number of the NY store is (212) 249-4100, perhaps they could track down the item in question.

I am in England. I just phoned the London DG store and they no longer have the item and cannot get it.
This is what I'm trying to find:

Yeah, I know, horribly expensive. but I fell in love with it. I need it in a size 52.

rofl.

Nice. And you mispelled lonely; otherwise, that URL might work.
