Bought a pair of Guidi sidezips in size 43 from a seller here and they are amazing. They're mostly black but with some brown, too.


The fit is super snug (especially in the toe box), but I expect that to get better as I wear them more. For reference, I'd consider myself a 42 - 42.5.

I did handle them in person back then, but I prefer not having the artificial fold in the front.

Have a look at the leather used here ....Of course, they stopped using it after an outcry!

Is Guidi's Cordovan as soft/ stretchable as their soft horse? i.e. should I size any differently for cordovan than I should for other leather? I figure I'll try a 43, but I'd hate to do another round of "oops doesn't fit"

Though the idea still disgusts me a bit, after rethinking a bit I would assume they don't kill the baby horses for the leather. At least, I hope; I like to think natural causes and salvaging the remains....I'm probably being way too optimistic.

I personally like how Guidi refers to the calf leather as baby calf, as if to assure you that they did, in fact, slaughter an infant animal. Baby calf.
