What are the odds I'd fit in a size 44 Augusta when I wear a size 42 MMM?

ok i may be mistaking but MMM runs really big i think, thus you maybe able to wear a 43 in augusta, but if the augusta 44 runs small you may be ok...

RFX - 2 size up would be tough. i wear a 41 MMM sneakers and also 41-42 in Augusta depending on the toebox. 42 would be a stretch at times as Augusta tends to run tts.

Not sure about this current 2.0 release but the older Layer-0 boots do fit TTS. i'd exchanged pms with Q and David at Sartorialoft for an older season pair and it seems that they fit tts. call those guys up! they're real knowledgeable and cool folks there!

What do you guys think about the Common Projects x Robert Geller Suede Combat Boots. I was looking at those that come with the 'spat'. Anyone with any experience owning one or having handled one irl could give me an idea if these are worth getting..

I checked out a pair of Marsell boots at The Archive in SF today and was thoroughly impressed. IMO, on sale, Marsell presents the best value - by a wide margin - over Augusta, m.a+, and Guidi. Very well made, excellent leather, good heft/solid feel. The Augustas I looked at were astonishingly light weight for their size/look, but the stitching at the sole was excellent and very tight. m.a+ left a good bit to be desired... there is simply nothing in their product to make me think "yes, this is a good purchase at full price." Sadly, no CCP/Diem/layer-0 there. Viridi Anne boots and Julius boot, both from Japan, looked to be well made.

I'll be back tomorrow to get the Marsells.

All Marsell boots on the similar fitting lasts? Would have to spend some time flattening out the upturned toebox though.

Moo which Augusta did you look at? The ones i saw were the back zips and they had thick leather and materials.

are you getting the rubber toe-box marsells? They were a bit clunky like trickers imo
