From the Carmina site:

This one is E.

This one is EEE.

Everything else is EE.

Go figure. Maybe it's the last in conjunction with the type of shoe that determines the width?

I wouldn't say everything else is EE, but there is certainly some variablity in the widths listed. I've contacted Carmina three times about buying their plain toe derby of the Forest last (Model 955) because it's listed as EE width but they've never responded. I didn't ask any bizarre questions and I was right to the point i.e., I'd like to buy Model 925 Forest Last, size 9.5, can you please let me know how to pay, etc. Is there a trick to getting a response?

You may have gone to the spam filter, try emailing again.

Does Carmina's e-store take credit card? I'm placing an order through Betty and she wants a paypal payment, which is probably more expensive for both sides of the transaction.

I don't think that's a possibility since I'm using the "Contact" form on their website. I suppose it's possible that their response to me is getting caught in my spam filter. I'll try emailing them directly rather than using the form on their website.

it does, but since you are doing a custom order there is no way for her to set up a custom transaction for you via e-store

Having same issue. Betty is responsive and then all of a sudden no response. I am ready to make payment. Wth.

I'm actually ordering something already in stock and is on the e-store, but the e-store doesn't work for me.

edit: I think I've figured out the problem. If you add the male shoe trees to the cart, "PERNI-0001", you can no longer view the cart. Can anyone else verify this?

I also think she is quite busy. I read an article somewhere talking about how they're just beginning an international expansion.

After lurking for a while in this thread, I have decided to take a plunge on Carminas as well. On my recent trip to Madrid, I stopped in the two of their stores - on Gran Via and Claudio Coelho. IMHO, the selection and service in Claudio Coelho is better. OTOH, the store on Gran Via still has a sale going on. There are a lot of models in various sizes, from the top of my head the most interesting were UK9 black shell boots on the Soller last (like this http://www.carmina.telemaco.es/articulo.asp?idarticulo=3465223 except with plain toe). Lots of choices in UK12 and 13 too :) Most sale models are 50% off, some are only 30%.

Anyway, I only had budget and suitcase space for one pair, so here is the "damage" - Forest last shell #8 NST derby:

If you ever get one I would be very interested in how it fits. I am normally a size 9.5, F (average) but sometimes I need a little wider shoes. I have had my eye on this black oxford:

but I have decided to give it a rest for now.

I had a problem with viewing some of the lasts in Internet explorer, but it worked much better in Google Chrome. Perhaps that could help?
