Did Betty clarify if the the free shipping applies to models or sizes not available on the e-boutique?

Sorry no idea about that.

There will be not VAT if the shoes are sent from Mallorca. At least there shouldn't be. GFW buys them from Carmina at the VAT 0 price and when the pair is sent within the EU, HMRC or any country's customs for that fact should have no interest in the shoes. If the shoes are sent from the US then there of course is VAT and all the declaration costs.

It is different if the sender is marked as GFW in the US, in which case local VAT and customs charges are applied to the price despite the shipment having been sent inside the EU. I was planning on an MTO from GFW so if my theory is incorrect, let me know... soon.

Thanks guys!

Im pretty sure that is not Inca, too chiseled in the toe. It does look like Rain or Simpson, but probably too wide to be Simpson. So, yeah Id guess Rain also.

Thanks guys. I was hoping that if I could find the exact same model online, I'd be able to determine the last. Anybody seen it before?

The key is the difference in the side leather stitching. Here is a model from Skoaktiebolaget:

And here's mine. Notice the stitching stays horizontal on the side compared to the model above:

I'm looking to buy my first pair of Carmina shoes as I simply can't resist any longer! (I blame this thread for that)

I am just a little unsure about sizing however.

I'm generally a standard width UK 12. The snuggest shoe I own is a Meermin double monk on the Hiro last (UK12), however it has yet to break in. I'm interested in a Carmina Chukka, which is on a wider last than I usually buy (the Soller last). Does anyone have any experience with sizing down half a size (11.5 in my case) on this last?

If anyone has any advice or recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You have mod. 737 (most probably on Filadelfia last), model above is 80250

On a completely random thought unrelated to any recent posts, I have several recently acquired pairs of Carmina shoes and I love all of them. I used to love my CJ shoes, but I'm almost embarrassed to say I no longer wear any of the 5 pairs I do own, with the exception of my Tetbuty chukka. I really do feel that Carmina hits the sweet spot of great quality for the price, as well as great last shapes and styling. Just my 2 cents.

Shoes owned by me:

- black calf double monk on Inca
- burgundy oxford on Rain
- black calf oxford on Simpson
- double suede monk on Simpson
- medium brown wingtip on rain
- burgundy split toe derby on Simpson (on order)
