Great selections and enjoy your new Carminas. What size is your burgundy belt btw? I'm in the market for one if it doesn't work out for you. ;P
I am a size 34 and the belt only goes to the first hole. I don't like wearing my belts that short and prefer more length maybe through the 3-4 hole. Let me know by PM if you are interested as I am in southern CA and flying out of country again on the 31st. I can even send more pics. The burgundy cordovan for Carmina is more like Horween's cordovan color. It is a very nice belt and smells wonderful, but sadly my waist is too large for it. It even comes with the small Carmina bag and it has a brass gold buckle.

Congratulations on the new shoes; they're beautiful. With that being said, this is still my favorite photo. I just got two pairs of Carminas in the same package and loved unboxing them, so I can't even imagine how excited you must have been.
It was a long wait as I ordered them in March, but told Betty to hold them until May when I came back to the U.S. They shipped from Inca, Spain and arrived in Southern CA in 3 days! Fedex must have shipped them on a passenger plane or something. Betty was great to deal with and nailed my size minus the short belt. My fault for not providing her with 36 US measurement as she must have thought I wear the belt at exactly 34. Share some photos of the unboxing!

In Paris again for business and dropped by the Carmina store on Monday to try on some shoes. These tan wingtips (Rain Last) were pretty fun:

700

Also, check these out (Forest Last):
700

Took some other snaps of random shoes that I'll post later. I'm going back to the store at lunch today and will probably buy something as well. DECISIONS!

Thank you. Part of our inspiration for our navy cordovan boot MTO came from pictures of your navy boots.

Is anyone up for an MTO?

Burnished Burgundy Austerity Brogue
  • Simpson Last
  • Darker Sole for formal occasions if need be
  • Darker lining (not signature purple?)

I have two..

  1. bdeuce
  2. mrjester

Can we get four more minimum? I've mentioned it 3-4 times in the Epaulet MTO thread but never get a response on it (unless I missed it), although it's been mentioned by them once.

Here's the model on Rain last (Courtesy of Epaulet website):
1000

And here's Carminas Burgundy, unburnished (Courtesy of Skoab):

And an EG Burnished Austerity Brogue to give you an idea:

Might be interested on Rain, not on Simpson. Too narrow.

Would it be calf or shell? Either way I would be interested.

Good question. Calf.

Pinkpanther, would you be in for a pair if it was Simpson? I'll get the price.. if I recall, its just shy of $500 per pair, shipped.

That wingtip derby kicked as, I have to make a note to stock that some day.

I just picked up my first pair of Carmina shoes! I picked up this pair from http://www.gentlemensfootwear.com.

LL

Mr. Yoo was really awesome to work with. He responded very quickly to his emails and he even went so far as to meet me in LA so I could try on different sizes. He's a really friendly guy - we got to chatting about shoes, clothes, etc. IMO he really went above and beyond to help me get my sizing right. I will certainly purchase more shoes from him in the future.

Congrats! You're going to love them! Glad to hear Gentlemen's Footwear is a quality shop with great CS.

Wear in good health!
