Were these MTO?
I'm don't recall seeing these before (this model on the Simpson). They look great btw.
No, i just emailed Betty telling her what I wanted and asked for a picture. They have a lot more in stock aside from what they offer on the webstore.

msart - I actually recently contacted Betty about that exact model in black calf. Glad to see they are apparently in stock, as I am still waiting to hear back. Like others have experienced, my previous conversations with Betty have taken a while to get started, but she always responded and was very helpful in the ordering process. Enjoy them and hopefully I will join you soon...

I had to email her a few times to get any response. I knew what I wanted and dropped hints that I was a serious buyer and not a time waster. The total process took about 3 weeks from when I first contacted her until when I got it, but I couldn't be more pleased.

+1 on a positive experience dealing with Betty. Had already ordered my shoes from one of their stores before I had paid wasn't available online ). If anyone is waiting for a response today, she told me that today is a holiday in Spain.

I utilized an email thread from a previous purchase in hopes that it would push things along quicker, but I get the impression Betty is likely inundated with requests and it just takes some time to work through the backlog. I sent a follow up, so hopefully will be hearing from her soon. I gave the exact specs and have purchased previously, so I hope she knows I am serious and can make the transaction quick and painless so long as the item is stocked.

finally...my special order saddle shell brogue captoe oxfords (robert last) arrived today from the armoury. these are my first pair of carminas. :D
thanks to ethan and alan at the armoury!

Trying desperately not to order these. They are beautiful and I really like how the Robert last looks in photos. Hopefully what I think is my size will disappear from the Armoury's inventory and then I'll be in the clear.

Enjoy.

msart, what model is that? I thought it was the 10085. Betty got back to me today and said that model was unavailable, but suggested she could get the Model 80091 from another store, saying it is the same except the toe-cap and other stitching features 3 rows instead of 2. Thought I would ask if that is what you received as well.

Yea it is the 80091 instead of the 10085. Looks identical to the picture she sent me of the latter which she had available in a different size. The pic below is what I got from Betty describing the shoe.

taxgenius,
Rain is wider than 348, but narrower than 337 and about the same as 341 on my feet, maybe a hint more snug.
You will need a 9.5 for sure if you are going with the Rain and the 337 is 'snug'.
FWIW, it looks a lot like a more 'sculpted' version of the 348, if it makes any sense.

I agree on the sculptured comment.
I'm not sure the rain is narrower than the 348 though. My size 8.5 Rain seems to have a slightly tighter fit than my 348 in the same size. The 348 does have a sleeker profile and looks narrower as it is elongated.
The Carmina below is a size 8.5 and the EG is a size 9. The CJ Alex belongs to a friend and is a size 7.5

Sorry to tease all those Simpson fans out there, but this pic is a good illustration of Alcudia's awesome shape (perfect for me in terms of both looks and fit). That's Simpson on the left and Alcudia on the right.

Cheers.
