Fellow Carmina enthusiasts, I am tentatively doing a MTO tassel loafer for the summer from a new shoe store opening up in L.A. and wanted to see if anyone else was interested. If we can rally at least 6, this shop is willing to throw in Carmina shoe trees and an Abbeyhorn shoe horn for supporting their new efforts.

Tentative specs are as follows (awaiting confirmation from Carmina):

Model: Tassel loafer with hidden strings and punched toe medallion (styled like the loafer 2nd from the right below but add the toe medallion)

Last: Simpson
Leather: Grey suede with navy scotch grain calf leather tassels
Sole: Single leather, antique sole edge
Lining: Navy calf leather
Price: $450 with free shipping and no tax if outside of CA (will also ship internationally)
Gifts included: Carmina shoe trees and Abbeyhorn shoe horn

I also thought some of you may be interested in seeing how may Carmina Direct MTO Navy Shell Single Monk looked about about 15 wears. I sent them off to B. Nelson to get sunken toe taps installed and they look great.

They look fantastic, this brand is great

Any interest in the left loafer? Leaves those are womens shoes apparently but I would kill for those loafers on the left.

The exchange for the shell loafer on the armoury is less than 800. I think with shipping it factored out to be around $792.

Do you guys know the price level is of the Spain (Barcelona) shop? I'm wondering because I'm going to Barcelona in the end of may.

Is the pricing in the store the same as the e-shop or lower/higher?

I have bought two pairs in the Palma store, different years, and one shoe in the Barcelona store and from what i remember the price was about the same in the web store. Only one of the three could be bought online.
