HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 4465

Found some thrift store gold today.  It was unseasonably warm.  It's suppose to be even warmer tomorrow.

What I thrifted today. (Click to show)
I got this for $60.  It's 100% pure new wool.  No brand tags or labels, but the size was labeled as 38.  I might have the waist let out some.  The sleeves are a little short, but I'm not sure that I mind that much.

Thanks a lot! I severely doubt the tailors over here are capable of such art work. Wear in good health, always.
(and shame I'm a 40/50L...)

AAS, that is some thrift platinum. How much did you score it for and who made it? Fit is great on you.

I could never wear any of your fits, but just wanted to say, I love how you roll. I could never pull it off, but that's probably why I appreciate it so much. Even the fits you post that make me say WTF!?, I dig it.

AAS, sometimes I think you add one or two elements too many in your quirky style, and although you're a very cool guy, I think when you do that it falls right out of the "classic menswear" genre altogether.  But when you just do a bit - just enough to be "you", it really works.  Those trousers are crazy.  But as the jacket and shirt are so clean, I think you actually get more out of the Black Watch than when you stick it everywhere.  It has a background, so it can be in the foreground, if you get what I mean.  Heck, I'll even ignore the horsebits.  You look great.

P.S. Congrats on that magnificent coat. :)

AAS! Synergy. I thrifted this on friday. Your lapels are way cooler though and sadly mine is a hair big for me given that it's a 40 and I'm a 38. It still works, especially if I'm wearing a thicker suit jacket (tweed) or an additional layer or so!

I loved the feel and look of the Borrelli, drew some admiring glances though not sure people appreciated why

Thanks again

Thank you.  I don't disagree with you. I rarely have time to set my outfits out in advance.  So I end up rushing out of the house not fully happy with what I'm wearing.  Sometimes it grows on me.  Other times I know it's a mistake, but it's too late.  I've thought many times about changing when I get home, but that's not honest.

I don't know what fap means and I'm afraid to look it up on the internet.  :uhoh:  Thanks?
